Playtime Toys
All children love playtime and we know they love toys. Pretend and role play – whether it is pretending to be a mum or dad, the chef in a posh restaurant, a princess in a magical fairy-tale, or a pirate looking for treasure hidden in the sand. In the midst of clomping round in grown up shoes or twirling around with friends in fairy-tale land children are learning to solve problems, coordinate, cooperate and think flexibly. Pretend play fosters creativity by giving children a safe place to act out real life scenarios. They may not be able to go to a real restaurant with mum or dad, but they can create a pretend tea party with their friend. Imaginative pretend play also promotes physical development in a fun way – moving furniture through a dolls house helps improve movement and control in their hands.
Playtime is the perfect opportunity for kids to practice and develop language and social skills as they mix and play with other children – talking, listening, turn taking and sharing. Children can also use imaginative play to relax and unwind from their busy lives. It does not cost a fortune to engage children and with our playtime toys. It is important as parents that we provide the resources for them to develop and encourage their interest in learning. Watch as your child explores their imagination with our sandpits and mud kitchen, getting them out in the fresh air in a safe and secure environment. Alternatively, explore our hanging rails where your child can store their costumes. How about a toy box that can be filled with clothes, scarves and other props that can encourage children to engage in playtime.
